"Pieces" assembles a vertical landscape from textile fragments, each patch contributing its own weight and texture to the whole. A pale blue basketweave anchors the center, running like a river through territories of burgundy, ochre, and forest green. The composition refuses hierarchy—no single fabric dominates, no pattern takes precedence. Instead, each piece holds equal space: worn canvas beside fresh cotton, open mesh against tight twill. The work becomes a democracy of materials, suggesting that wholeness emerges not from perfection but from the patient accumulation of what's at hand, each scrap finding its place in the larger geography of color and cloth.
