Monica Crandell

… is proud to live in Holland, Michigan, where she and her husband are raising eleven amazing children. Her work is characterized by a deliberately loose artistic style that leaves open ends for the viewer's mind to pull on. She feels privileged to be able to add beauty to the world through art. Self-taught, but always learning, Monica creates in various media including acrylic, fabric and fiber, watercolor, precious silver clay, surface pattern design and, of course, playdoh. Due to those eleven kids mentioned earlier, she has just recently found time to share her art with the world and she has already been published in magazines, exhibited, and sold in a gallery.

When not caring for children or doing art, the rare time that is left might be filled with reading, gardening, swimming in Lake Michigan or something involving coffee and friends.
